Mayor-Elect DePaul Submits Letter

As stated below every post I make on this site, what I write is my own opinion and may not necessarily be that of the governing body. There has always been an open invitation for any member of Council to publish their own opinion on WestEastonPA.com.

Mayor-elect Dan DePaul has requested publication of a letter he provided me, regarding the Safety First building now being leased by the Borough and my subsequent post that included our “discussion” that took place at Monday’s Council Meeting.

The only additional comment I would like to make is with regard to the last paragraph of his letter.

Dan has one of the best work ethics I know any individual to have.

If my previous post was viewed in any way by the public, as anything other than that, in the many tasks he took on since becoming Council President, then that is the wrong perception.

He took the lead on many issues and items that were addressed and corrected over the last two years, putting in far many more hours than the rest of us were able to do, due to our other commitments. Much of his effort the public isn’t even aware of, but I can attest.

His opinions on borough issues, his attendance at any meeting, and his knowledge will always be welcome by this Councilman, certainly.
