stupid-tattooStupid is as stupid does. In this incident, a pair of stupid took up residence in West Easton.

We like to think that all the vandals and petty thieves are from outside our Borough. That wasn’t the case at around 1 am this morning.

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast reported Jared A. McLoughlin, 18, of West Easton, kicked in a secure door on half a duplex in the 200 block of Spring Street.

He reportedly damaged and vandalized the interior before fleeing. He was arrested soon after.

18-year-old Clyde Ice V, interferred with the arrest and was also taken into custody. Clyde’s true stupidity occurred when he threatened to shoot an Easton Police officer, who was helping state police take him into custody.

McLoughlin is charged with burglary and criminal trespass. He was ordered held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
